Im planning to get a MH system, heres a link to the one I want to get. My question is I believe this is used for indoor HYDROPONICS not aquarium... CAN I USE IT STILL? if not whats the differences with the aquarium kits you used for your canopy and this sun system MH system?

also what specturm AKA K should I used 10,000 15,000 etc?

also whould MH system make my electric bill sky rocket?

little more info, I want to use this on 55 gallon for alittle while than move it to my 135g..... do you guys think one bulb is enough or I need another system so double bulb for the 135... looking to plant the whole tank so more light the better

Read the stickies there is a lot of information in there. Most of you questions will be answered there. The goal K rating is between 5000 and 10,000.

6500k is the ideal color temp. ADA lamps are 6500k. But using 10k or other white color MH will be fine. Remember, lower K = more yellow tint and higher K= white up to blue when over 12k.
