The VILLE
so will metal in a tank say from support rods in a plastic plant hurt the water or say from a screw in driftwood and what if they start to rust.

Not if they are made out of stainless. A little rust (iron oxide) won't hurt anything.

ill give it a try the small rods are embedded in the plastic and the exposed metal is showing rust already after a few days. i really like these plants next time ill be more careful when i buy them or replace

Not sure about fresh water but I know metal in a saltwater reef is really bad.

I have read stories about a dropped screw, dime or tack and people having to tear apart their tanks to find it.

I dropped a tiny screw it the back of a nanocube filter once while replacing a bulb and it was a pain to get it out.

I had two small black ghost knives die because there was two screws that rusted in ther hiding spot. I didn't realize till I lifted it up and some rust siffed through the water.
