I'm getting a 150g so my oscars can have a touch more space, right now I have a 125g (72x18x23) on a metal stand. I am not a big fan of the stand but it works. the 150g is 72x18x29 so it will fit on the same stand. This shouldn't be a problem right? Does anyone have any other experience with metal stands that would indicate otherwise?

...thanks for the input, Ben

heres a pic so you know what I'm referring to...note that the tank in the pic is a 72x18x21
(its dark but its the best i have right now)

Those stands have to be rated for any tank that can fit them so it should be fine. So u found another 150? What are your plans for the 100 gallon

I found someone 10min away who wants to trade tank for tank

thanks, I would have liked to make the deal with you but the 6hrs of driving was enough to deter me

i would never trust a store bought "metal" stand...ive seen some bow let alone with 1500 lbs on it yikes....
i go wood or i make my own.....tube steel like mentioned is great
