It has been a loooong time since I have considered using a metal stand for an aquarium. I purchased a 110g tall tank (48l X 18w X 31t) with a metal stand from someone at a yard sale a year or two back and have just gotten around to cleaning them up. One look at the stand and I started to question its strength and integrity. I have always built stands out of wood (300g, 180g, 125g, & 90g) and they have always "looked" the part, ie sturdy. Do you guys think this stand could hold the 1000lbs weight of a fully functional 110g aquarium? Thanks

I have a crappy double stand for 55’s and it holds it all. That looks more well built than mine so I’d trust it but I’m not an expert. I can give you a picture in a bit if you wish?
