Metal tubs safe for fish?

You know those metal tubs that are always next to the black rubber maids at like a tractor supply? There silver and the shapes are sweet better than the rubber maids, would this be safe? I'd assume so...

Most of those metal tubs are galvanized. Not safe for fish without a liner.

+1. Galvanized tubs must be epoxy coated or have a liner to prevent leeching zinc into the water. Excess zinc causes neurological disorders.

So is these things even safe for my pet deer, goat and stuff?? Or do I need a liner for them too?

With a liner these tubs are safe for fish right?
