Alrighty folks, just got my tank more or less setup this is my first run for a primary planted tank. Id for me (if you dare) the plants and fish. Should be easy. The only plant I've pre-raised is the large purple leafed plant on the left side. That one came out of my ten gallon betta tank yesterday. Please disregard the man in the reflection as well as the dirty glass.

Enjoy.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know. I got all of the ins and outs from the lfs and promptly forgot them on the way home. I'll find out on the morrow for you.

It's listed under giant hygro, so I assume he means hygrophilia corymbosa. Could be wrong, I'm by no means a plant expert.

Funny thing. My water sprites are springing roots at the base of the leaves and dettaching themselves. Found 5 in my overflow teeth wrapping roots between the intakes. Also found 3 fish and a ghost shrimp alive and kicking in my cannister filter. What can we do?

On the back end, I'm looking for a low light creeping sort of plant to cover my driftwood. I've seen them but I have no idea what they're called. Any pros know?

Thanks folks, swim on!

I can see that . . . I kept hygrophila compacta, and it looked like those . . . I've just never seen 'em planted singly, I grew mine in bunches

when they do well, they do very well . . . lots of pruning . . .

Alrighty, a little over two weeks without pruning anything down. Still working on filtration and a better lighting apparatus.
