Hello, everyone. In my 55g tank I have a mature severum and a pair of juvenile angelfish. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a cloudy eye on one of the angels and some small HITH pits on my severum. I did a big water change and noticed some clear stringy poops. My immediate concern was the eye infection so I did a cycle of Furan-2 and then did a water change and started a General Cure treatment cycle. I had some leftover Metroplex and some Focus so I tried to make some medicated fish food. The problem is that the Metro and Focus don't want to dissolve. I even tried RO/DI water and it still wouldn't dissolve.

I'm very worried about getting some Metro internally to the fish because I've heard it's not very effective just in the water column. Anyone have any tips or tricks on getting it to dissolve?

The focus makes it difficult to dissolve. It should eventually dissolve but not immediate. Gotta remove it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. In the interim I read the pinned article about Hex on this page and decided to try the Epsom Salt food while i've got carbon running to give the fish a 48 hour break before I retreat with General Cure. The first batch was ineffective as it sank, and this particular fish has never been interested in sinking foods. I'm letting the second batch dry out after I soaked it with the Epsom Salt and a few drops of Garlic Guard.
