Just got this little girl today. Shes carrying 1 week old eggs, they are fertile :D

advice for her and the little ones staying healthy till i can find the little ones new homes, rather till i sell them back to Fintastic XD

I know the basics, lots of hiding places, plenty offood and the genral water specification. but was wondering if anyone had anything else to add :)

once you see the eyes developing in the eggs, she's almost ready to drop the babies. I would recommend trying to separate her from the fry, b/c she will most likely eat her babies once they are born.

i think she might have as she hid till i noticed most of the fertile eggs dropped, its not a huge deal though so long as shes ok. shes out and about now, funny little thing XD

Dwarf crays dont' generally canabalize. I am assuming this is a cambarellus, though the color is not very vivid for the type you are describing.
Here are what mine look like:

I am also assuming that you have your intake covered, or have a sponge filter? If not, the babies are very tiny and this could easily explain them going missing.

I like to add a lot of moss, or other fine plants to my dwarf crayfish tanks. This provides adequate cover, as the babies molt frequently as they grow, and also provides an easy first food source and infusoria and microorganisms grow in the plants.

she got pretty bright but not to the intensity of yours. wow. unfortunately i ended up loosing her and most of my other crawling\swimming inverts due to chlorinates or very low calcuim :/ pretty upset about loosing her. she was a cool little thing once she stopped being shy
