MFK has gone live with our awards program!
This program is designed to recognize members who have gone above and beyond to take care of their fish and better the hobby! This program is designed in graduated steps. The most basic awards recognize members who have accomplished tasks that are difficult but within the grasp of the majority of members all the way up to elite Gold Level awards that only the most dedicated hobbyists are willing to put forth into the hobby to earn.
Remember though, these awards are NOT for helping MFK, they're for helping promote the hobby. The awards are just a way of recognizing what you've already done!
The MFK award system is designed to be completely transparent. Any award that is earned by a member MUST be justified with proof of it's being deserved. If a member is denied an award, the person who denies them the award MUST be able to present a logical reason why that member doesn't deserve it; it is against the rules to deny an award because of 'I don't like you' situations. This is NOT a way for the Staff to pat themselves on the back!
Anyone who doesn't have active infraction points and who has more than five posts is eligible to earn awards and to nominate others for awards.
