Ok, so my question is are their alot of other users on here that also have a family member or two present as well? The reason im askin is both me and my little brother (electricblueseanburch) share a passion for MFKepping:headbang2, and though our choice in species is different, the passionis still there. He keeps alot of randoms i cant always remeber (mostly cichlids and 3 plecos) i however am a pbass freak and also love my gars... often times i run into him on random posts i choose to look at and its refreshing to see him tho i dont everyday.. kinda like i get to keep tabs and also share something even though we both live busy lives and dont always have time to hang out, which often gets a little smile outa this old goat lol :grinno:especially since after many years out of the hobby it was him who got me back in it and well look at me go! (my name speaks for itself..:screwy:) well enough of the back ground, my question stands as so, who else out there has family on here?? :popcorn:
 
I wish I had family in the hobby with me, My family thinks the hobby is "the most pointless waste of money they have ever herd of" I remember when I brought home my CKF and showed my father he said "Are you serious? how much money did you waste on that ugly thing" It's there loss though, They are so closed minded that they will never know the awesomeness of being a MFK!!!:headbang2
 
agreed 100% and i may not like every species.. but i still like to see them and its always good to know there are other "fish nerds" like me, seeing as how my friends have branded me with that tittle lol

You should hear what my friends say to me, I went from being a hardcore gear head building drag cars and racing almost every weekend to keeping rare and exotic predatory fish, They have a field day with me!...lol. It's so funny because they always give me a hard time about my new hobby and then when they come to my house and see my tanks they are glued to them and always want to feed and watch the fish...lol
 
haha i hear ya on that one.. i built 4x4's back when i was out of the fish world but as i got back about 2yrs ago i had swapped from trucks to hard core fishing (ironic i know) and well went from spendin money on rods, reels, tackle, and so on to my tanks. i was even workin on the docks at the time so i was on the water then came home to my tanks.. started with my little brothers old 55and and added my 125, then a 10, took it down and set up my planted 36.. i have all three in the bedroom and lets just say i get alot of crazy comments untill they see them, then jist as u said they are glued to them.. not to mention its amazingly peaceful to sleep with the water running sounds..
 
im workn on number 4... just need to figure a way out to get more ventaltion in it fpr the a/c.. all these tropical tanks make for a tropical room and i love to sleep cold.. i went from a meat locker to a sauna when the a/c isnt runnin whoch makes it rough when i prefer it 65°
 
well my sister is a member of the site but she isnt really interested in MONSTER FISH, but she registered for more id of other fish. my mom is an MFKeeper but isnt registered. im lucky on this result bcuz i can have a fishy convo about breeding cichlids aswell as other fish related stuff
