What is your worst nightmare?

For me personally it has to be poweroutages. It is probably the most stressful time in my life when the power goes out. I can't stand it. Just makes you feel so helpless, like there is nothing you can do.

Last night there was a pretty big storm that went through, and our power went off twice for at least 30 minutes each time. This was in the early A.M., but it really didn't matter. I knew my tanks were possibly in trouble and I couldn't sleep. I was VERY relieved each time the power would come on and even MORE so when the storm was over with. Anywho, that is my worst nightmare. Power going out is probably the worst thing that can happen to us.

For me its the tank busting. I am not worried about Power outages.

tank busting by far, nothing else compares by a long shot, sure way to have all fish dead, and MAJOR damage to your house and other belongings, nothing worse in the hobby. I am makeing sure to yank the canisters out of the tank during PO's and replaceing bio media, so i'm good there.- plus i have generator. and i don't keep illegals so F&W is nothing.

i agree tank busting would have to be the worst... lose your fish.. have to buy a new tank which can cost a bit, + damages from water ect..

If ever we have a power outage, we have apetrol generator that will do. Thats covered. But our house would be destroyed if the tank broke.

I go with busted tank also, my plumbing doesnt run on electricity so a water change is always and option.
