MVP is not based only on numbers as you know. I never said Brady wash putting up MVP Ike numbers but only that the hoody and his staff put there players in excellent positions to be successful. Brady has taken full advantage of it. I just think Vick is more valuable to that team.

it depends on your definition of "value". When i say recent history, i mean the recent history of the mvp being the best player from the top teams in the league. We all agree that new england is officially in a tier of their own, and we all agree that brady is the top player on that team. that equals mvp based on recent history. Sure i could argue that that top player on that offensive line is really the most valuable player or that it's actually the pass catchers but that's not what recent history shows.

can someone please show me some stats that shows vick is the mvp over brady? all i keep hearing is opinions on value or excitement level. you probably think i actually perfer watching brady over vick but i've watched every philly game this year and maybe 2 patriots game. The stats tell the story that your eyes don't see.

Brady and the Pats are the most overrated football team in the history of the NFL.

Packers should have beaten them.

Basically 2x spotted touchdowns on very lucky returns.

+4 dropped interceptions.

Oh, did someone mention we are missing our starting QB, RB, TE, and 10 defensive players on the IR. This doesnt count the guys that are just injured.

You guys can barely beat our 2-3rd string defense after receiving most of your points off of lucky breaks and the 4 dropped interceptions.

Tom Brady is a good QB. But he isnt a goat, or an MVP. I woudnt draft him top five even if I had to pick today.

Now, should Micheal Vick be MVP?

Maybe of the eagles, but not the league. Not even by a long shot.

His team did mediocre, and he had one ridiculous performance. The rest was sort of average. Its his best season by far, but the statistics from the rest of his career have been one thing. Pathetic.

you can't reason with an illogical sports fan who is loyal to their team no matter what. Any sports fan should know you don't base things on a small sample, your entire post is based on one game and ignoring tom brady's career accomplishments or the other 14 games played

Jumping on the Brady Bandwagon is the only illogical thing here.

Brady throws the ball like a 8th grade girls softball player. Off the bench.
He isnt spectacular at all, he just puts up good numbers. Everyone loves his QB rating. Curtis Martin has a perfect QB rating, no one is talking about him?

Brady has great stats, he is a part of a great football program. Cassel was plugged into that equation, and had a good season after never starting ever before.

Im not impressed by Brady at all. Im a realist, and Im grounded. I know guys in highschool that can throw harder and farther than he does. He is surrounded by playmakers.

An MVP is someone who does things that no one else in the league can. Im not saying Vick is it, but he certainly has that edge over Brady.

p.s, let's talk aaron rodgers when he does something in his career. the biggest win of his career so far is last week's win vs the giants. that's it. rex grossman is more accomplished then him (one trip to the superbowl). heck, matt cassel has accomplished as much as Aaron rodgers has (a trip to the playoffs, wow!!!!)

Brady is surrounded by play makers?

Woodhead? Wes Welker? Branch. i'd rather have Jennings, Jones and Driver

Edit: i think people think of mvp as a broad scale like the tendecies are the same all across the board from the nba to the nfl, it's not. in the mlb you're more likely to get the mvp for your value to your team regardless of team record. In the nfl, it doesn't work that way. you're either the best player on the best team or you put up remarkable numbers on a team among the top. there's no "take X player off X team would have the biggest impact on the team's success" argument. is it right? probably not but that's just what i mean when i say recent history, the voter's tendecies

brady took the same team undefeated the year before....you see mine, what's yours?

p.s. 11-5 is not a great record.
What year that Brady took Patriots undefeated? The closest one he got was 18-1!

If he did what he did but with fish, You guys wouldn't be saying this...

Honestly I have had a few fish die at the hands (well not literally hands or course) of other fish. Even put a few down that were beat up to badly to live comfortably. I will avoid bringing up feeder fish topic...at the end of the day they are no more or less of a fish than any other fish...

and to top that off Brady for MVP..cant argue with stats

I'll bite... who should get the MVP of the year then? Cassel? I didn't even know of him until a few months ago.
