I'm starting a club for stingray keepers in Michigan (anyone from any state is welcome, I'm just located in Michigan). I've not done anything like this before, but think it would be a good idea for other ray enthusists to be able to get together and discuss their experiences. There will be no membership fees or anything. The current plan is to meet once a month in the evening. This will be a relaxed environment where anyone keeping rays or interested in keeping rays can get together and talk about them. I'll set a basic topic(s) for each meeting to give people time to think of questions/ideas they would like to discuss.
I have recently worked out a lease for a commercial location to handle shipping/inventory for my ray breeding/aquarium equipment site. This will be where I will have the meetings as well. I hope to be in the new location by mid June. The first meeting will be on July 1st (Tuesday) at 7 pm. The building is on Stephenson Hwy in Troy, Michigan (about 6 miles north of Detroit).
Anyone who would like to attend, or if you have questions, please call me (Pat) at 248-840-2135 or email me at contactus@amazonstingrays.com. This will help me get an estimate of the number of people coming so I can have enough chairs, etc. Any ideas on things to discuss are welcome. This first meeting we will introduce ourselves and talk about what general experience we have and the rays we are currently keeping.
I hope this works out. I'd like to meet some more ray keepers in our Area.

i think thats a given....
2 hour drive now costs $120. Someone remind me why we are not drilling in ANWR. We need one of those Cisco video conference systems.
