I have an FX5 running for about a week, and a 950 gph pump in a 20 gallon sump for my 125 SW tank.

I had read about the microbubbles and got some blue pads for my FX5, I was also going to change my filter media in the FX5.

I crammed pot scubbies in it from my sump just to get it going. I realize I may have put in too many.

Last night I was all set to change out the media and add the blue pads when I noticed the micro bubbles went away. I shone a light in there and checked it over a few hours, no bubbles at all.

Today the bubbles are back. Could the bubbles being there with the lights on be an indicator of something else?

Did you turn on the tank lights and cheack or just look with a flashlight. Cause flash light might not be bright enough to show the bubbles.

The onthing i can think of lights causing bubbles would be pearling on plants...

My xp4 took about 2 weeks for it to clear all the micro bubbles. I'd say just leave it be and it should clear. Its not a bad thing anyways... unless your pulling air into your canister somehow...
