Anybody do this? I’ve been using a 2 weight fly rod, and flies from #20-26. Boy those 26’s are hard to tie. I’ve caught many, many bluegills, pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and an orange spot sunfish. It’s difficult to tell the centrarchids apart when they are that small, I had to use ray type and numbers to figure them out. Sometimes even that doesn’t work if the species have overlapping ray counts. Still fun though.
Our water around here is to dirty to sight fish, so I have to keep going through all the bluegill and hope something else comes along. I’m trying to gear up for saltwater now, the species diversity is much better in July to October. A lot of tropicals can show up then, and there’s a ton of natives too. You never know what you’ll catch.
Anybody have any pics of their micros? Post em up!

I thought it looked like it was partially done in Maryland area waters, I live on the eastern shore of Maryland, some of that list looked awefully familiar. Where did you get the bandtailed puffer?
