Micro monster ideas?

Looking for interesting ideas for micro monsters for a 12x12x18 tall tank. Maybe an axolotl grow out, lesser siren, small loaches etc... any ideas for small ugly fish?!

African Dwarf Clawed Frogs.

dwarf orange crayfish? They are pretty cool. Not many options for a tank this small.

So here's what I decided:
Tadpole madtoms
Banded pygmy sunfish
Fathead minnow dithers
And possibly a dogo loach

I'd skip the dojo loach, the footprint is simply too small for a fish that gets 6"+ and tends to squirm around like crazy when certain weather events come around (Hence the other name of weather loach). Otherwise I can't comment on the other fish. Good luck!

I have a few weather loaches of my own and I can confirm that they are too active for this size tank as they use all of my 55, not as active as coolie loaches which are basically on crack 24/7 but they are still decently active.

Please reconsider them.
