I am setting up a 10 gallon planted tank that will house dwarf puffers. Can the dwarf puffers be kept with ghost or cherry shrimp? Also how about mystery snails? Also any other info on dwarf puffer tank mates would be great.

I have a 10 gallon with a dwarf puffer in it....I think the puffer may try to make lunch of the shrimp if you try to mix them....I have read on several sites that puffers should not be kept with anything, and that eventually tankmates will come up missing or nipped badly....I had one dwarf with 4 cories and they all had nipped fins, I removed them....Well planted is a good idea for any amount of puffers, good luck with the tank.....

I tried those puffers with a community tank with BIGGER fish (I'm talking robust, large community fish) and the puffers went back to the store the NEXT DAY. They keep biting everything (unfortunately as I love them.) I wouldn't count on the shrimp or snails surviving very long with them.
 
actually, the only recomended tank mates for dwarf puffers are oto cats and cherry or ghost shrimp. if you don't believe me, check out dwarfpuffers.com
