In a year or so I may be moving. And with all the news I hear more about people stealing exotics from peoples homes and such I am thinking of having my larger snakes and chinchillas chipped. Also, microchipping is required for burms in the area I may be moving to (as well as a permit)
Has anyone here had this done to their critters? What is the cost? Any problems arise from the procedure? Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

My cat is micro chipped. The actual chip is about the size of a grain of rice. They inject it with a big needle and thats it. It should heal up in a couple of days.
