NOOB QUESTION:

If (2) 14"+ redlines constantly swim and feed together with no aggression, what are the chances that they are a pair...

saw a youtube video of 2 as described above and thought they pair up later as mature adults....

until over 18" sometime 24" you could not really tell , it is also known for 2 males or 2 females to buddy up and get on like mates. also the fact that micro is often found in groups in the wild and given enough space would show this in aquaria ,so you often see micros swimming together when younger , the problems start when things start to get crammped , even a bonded pair would kill each other if space is limited.

if there are other micros in the same tank and the same two are allways with each other and have no interest in the rest of the group then yes it is possable , but only time would tell

I had a few together until about 12 inches and then two of them turned on all the others and killed everyone, based on other species this basis to think that they were forming a bond. Also one is showed different physical characteristics, more slender and more thickness in body and head areas.

that could well of been a pairing varanio , if two buddy up and attack all the others that would def be a sign . also the fact you could see a pysical diferance in them also suggest so.
