I need some help. My micropeltes is 8.5 inches long. It had feint black stripes on its back. But recently after I did a water change, its stripe was gone. Is this normal or anything?

Did you do 100% w/c? I'm thinking if you do, could be the strpe wear off temporarily due to him adjusting the new water parameter. It's what I'm thinking. Mine never wear off their black stripe.

Yeah I did a 100% water change as the old water was really murky and unconditioned as well...

Salam, Never ever do a 100% wc. This can be fatal and would greatly stress any fish even the hardy SH.
The old murky water is good, only 25% wc weekly is enough.

What if I did a little bit more than 25% of water change? Perhaps maybe 35-40%. Is it still considered bad? Because I do not like the look of dirty yellowish water hahaha

In my opinion your much better off sticking with smaller 20-25% water changes, if the waters not staying clean do them more often.
