Mid-size freshwater puffer.

I'm looking for an interesting solo fish for a 120 (4'x2'x2') and i was wondering if there were any puffers that would fill the tank out, but not get too big. I was looking at fahakas but they seem a little big at 16", assuming they like to move alot.

Is there any freshwater puffer that would get to around a foot long, won't tear up plants and will be happy in our hard alkaline water?
