I just got finishing up setting up a 150 tall as a show tank, I'll be placing some of my crew from other tanks in here shortly. Mostly SA ciclids and few plecos and a Dorid..The Cichlid list so far will be a 10" uaru, small 4"-5" Rotkiel.

To get to the point my tank is tall 30", looking for a mid water dither fish or show fish that would be compatible....prefer shoaling type..looking for something outside the box with a little color, so SD's, TFB's have already been done.. Anybody use Discus or Bosami's?

If you have pics of similar tank setups , regardless of stock, please post!

Thanks:popcorn:

Thanks for the feedback, I'll have to give the rainbows a better look and see which ones get to be about 5"-6"...

Rainbows are awesome! Check out giant danios as well, they get to about 4" but they're pretty cool and fast enough to avoid scrapes. Tiger barbs are fun but they dissapear every once in a while, chomp.

I'd recommend Rainbows if you don't mind mixing countries of origin, but if you're doing SA only have you considered Festivums?

Festivums? we don't see those that often in my part of the states, I'll have to look into them...thanks!

Well your question regarding discus, which I would probably avoid using sort of set me off, as I've got a 140Gal 4x2 tank thats 28" high and I was considering a couple of Festivum as a mid water fish but decided that full size Severums and a Chocolate Cichlid will hang in that region anyway.

Decided to fill out the bottom with some Keyhole and Geos :p

Festivums would look great, but I'm not sure if they qualify as good dithers, being that they are not as active IME.
