Midagascar hissing cockroaches

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have no real idea.
id imagine you will need to start with a colony of some kind.

At college we have loads must be 40-50 of them and they seem to breed on their own accord, i think if you look after them you should be fine. Not sure if they are the same species but the ones here will lay eggs which look like little pebbles and the male will fertilise them and the female will reabsorb them back into her body.

purchase at least a 1.5 group. give them high protein food(dry cat food and rodent blocks) and fruits(oranges will get them going faster), keep them humid and warm and leave them alone. i started a colony last year for my herps and spiders, went from 80 to 10,000 in less than 6 months.

What is the best way to breed these guys? I got 2 adults and 3 small ones.

Provide dim lighting, soft music, and an open bar. :D

I don't need them that fast. I have a small heating pad under the tank so it says warm. I gave them cat food for now, I have the rodent blocks and oranges. Do you suggest the water gel? I heard about that but I have my water how my bio teacher has it who has a small breeding colony. It's water in a dish with paper towels in it to where they are all wet and there is no left over water. I am also planing on getting dubia's to breed.
