I bought a Midas this afternoon and put it in my 400 litre tank which inhabits a slightly larger Red Devil. Upon releasing the Midas it was chased around a bit by the Red Devil, but it was not getting hurt too badly. After an hour I checked up on the fish and the Midas was hurt - fins torn, scales damaged. One of the eyes has turned green/grey and I am so worried it might not recover and that it has turned blind on one eye. I have put a divider in to separate the two fish.
I am so angry with myself.
