I have a 5 inch white midas (blue eyes!) and a 5 inch wild caught labiatus in my 75. I also have a 5 inch flowerhorn. Well the midas/devil have paired off and shredded the flowerhorn.
I was wondering if I were to move the pair into a 30 gallon (my only other option), would this move change their behavior and result in them beating on each other? In the 30 is a 6 inch female flowerhorn who was put there for beating on everyone in the 75. If I put the pair in the 30, I would put her back in the 75.

Any thoughts?

Too many big fish for tank space, those are some aggessive fish for even much larger spaces. I couldn't imagine a breeding pair of midas in my 120 without a divider. Time for another tank or see if your lfs will give you credit.

why not a bigger tank? sell the 75 and 30 to get a 125-150?

I live on the second floor of a condo. I had a corporate construction company assess the flooring and they said the 75 was as high as they reccomend me going.

I am not worried about getting credit for the fish should I trade them in, as I am the manager of my lfs. I had not intent on keeping them to full size, I just hoped I could hold onto them a bit longer.

One day I will move into a house and be able to have a 200+ gallon tank. Oh wait, I am a teacher, what am I thinking? Well, it is nice to have dreams...

I would just keep the pair in the 75 and try the 2 FH's in the 30 and hope she doesn't beat him up further...
