I've got a Midas pair. White/Yellow male and Barred female. They have a couple of hundred fry right now and I wonder how long it will take before I can see what color the fry will get. Does anyone know?

I do not think there is a way to know until the fish actually matures, what happens with Midas and Red Devils is they change colors as they grow. You may buy an orange one and in a couple of weeks it may develop white spots, or black spots, etc…

You can't really tell especially when you have yellow/white and barred pair. Proly the only way to know is when they really are mature. I bought a 5" barred female midas that started to fade now she's turning out to be a georgous yellow. So with a mixed pair you can't really tell what the fry will look like until they mature.

they change color all the time when they were young
I had baby midas at 0.5 inch, after 6 months old and when they reached 6 inches. they dont change much. Rightnow, my midas is 1 and half year old(8") and didnt change its color for a year...
