How long on average does it take a male midas to reach around the 10 inch mark. This would be going to the tip of the tail. thanks

probaly 9 months. They grow a inch a month if tooken care of properly until they reach 7 inches.and thats when growth slows down to a half a inch a month.

my bet would be 11-12 months

My guess from fry size would be over a year. I got one at 4" in april and it's 9" or so now..

In Dec 2005, I purchased a 1.5 inch male Midas....Today, he stretches out to nearly 9, maybe 9.5 inches....I strongly beleive 10 inch growth is easy for a Midas to achieve within a year....Unfortunately, I had him in a 30g for alsmost two months....

OK so about 12 months to reach around 10 inches. How long from 10 inches to max growth?. say about 12-14 inches?

depends on tank size, feeding, and water quality

My barred midas is in a 200 gallon. hes been in there since i got him at 4 inches. The water is always great, in part to the constant water drip system and a very lightly stocked tank. I believe hes growing at about the rate he should.
