Ok ive had my midas for over two years now and hes never even had ick, well i had three small clarias cats in with him and i just noticed they were swimming around him biting on him and over all harassing him. Needles to say theyre now gone. The ends of his fins look a little chewed and he has what looks like could be some infection. It seems to be a little swollen on the one side at the base of his tail. If it an infection or could one of the clarias have spined him?. Also what do you recomend i do, if anything. This is my favorite fish and if i lost him id lose it, hes been my prize fish since the day i bought him so please help.

Heres some pics i took to help.

just flipping through 'manual of fish health' and i'm gonna guess that it's only a bruised wound from the cats. how long has it been there? i'm sure that someone will be able to positively id your concern.

My prized showcase is "BIGHEAD," a Midas that I have been raising.....Looks like a bruise, so do not worry so much....Worst comes to worst, might be a colony of micro-worms digesting your buddy's skin:WHOA: ..........
