This is a video of my 13" male madas (you can also see the female of similar size). Anyway, I post this because he has a wound on the top of his crown that has only been getting worse. Have been treating it and nothing seems to work. I have not personally seen it in about two weeks because I am away at school. But my mom and dad who are caring for my tanks say its gotten ALOT worse in the past couple of days. It has even spread to another spot on the side of his body. Can anyone help me out. This video was not taken with the purpose of being a reference for this site but its all i have at the moment. Can anyone help me out with some idea of what it is? anything will help. Thanks

Looks like a bacterial problem that probably started with a small injury, leaving the tissue vulnerable.

Originally i was told it was just a sore from bumping it on something in the tank so I just bumped the temp up a little bit and added additional salt. for a while it didnt seem to get any worse. but the past few days it has spread to a larger area. and currently i am treating it with melafix. This is what the LFS told me that i should use? any other suggestions?
