Earlier today my male Midas tried to kill my Oscar, so I moved him and the female into the 55 gallon and had to put up a divider after he tried beating her up also. Well a bout 30 minutes ago
I noticed her tube was down so I pulled the divider and bam!

This is their first time so I dont know if they will eat them or not but we will find out.

Ya, the male went from being all psycho to suddenly chill. The female hasn't left the pot this morning and Dozer has been sitting right in front of the pot. My son walked over and he spun around and swam up to the glass real fast and flared his gills lol, first time I have seen him show aggression towards people.

Congrats! :headbang2 Thats gonna be some sweet looking fry!

Thanks :D

These two have let on a few times they were going to breed but the female has been pretty intimidated by the male since I got them. The male actually beat up my Oscar pretty bad yesterday, so I ended up moving the Midas into their own tank. Then the male then started beating on the female as soon as they were in so I put up the divider yesterday morning as well. Then Last night I noticed the male next to the divider shaking his head real funny like, then glanced over and saw her tube was waaay down so I pulled the divider to see what would happen and they instantly went strait to the clay pot and started spawning. Was pretty cool, this is the first time I have had my fish spawn other than some super horny Convicts I had last year lol.

Well, checked on them this morning and some have turned white but the majority of them are getting little black dots now so it looks like most of them are still good.

I thought the male was 8 and female 7 but I was just able to get them to cooperate (attacking my hand through the glass lol) and get a tape up to the glass with them
long ways and the male is actually 7 inches and the female is about 5 1/2 to 6 inches. They are about 9-10 months old now roughly.
