Midas Mom and Dovii Dad?

I cannot believe my eyes. My Midas and Dovii had offspring. They are now about 1/2 inch long and look like Dad. Those were the only 2 fish in my 90 gal and the Midas Mom is beating the crap out of Dad. He stays at the top corner. She won't even let him eat!

Have you every heard of such a thing?

if you have another tank I would suggest moving the dad or you might end up having to get a body bag

the mother may well be defending her young from dad eating them
