Does anybody know what's wrong with my Midas? I just noticed this today, he won't close his mouth for some reason. The water is good in the tank, he's in a grow our tank with other aggressive fish about his size, so maybe it was fighting? image.jpg

check around the folds of his lips in and outside his mouth-throat to see if anything's stuck,
like an opponents tooth, then see on how he's acting/feeling to see if he's infected.
IDK that's what I would do then go from there

because you never experienced such a thing that's why. I have had a fish after battle with sunken broken tooth from the enemy inside the fold of his lips and its mouth stuck out for days until I tweezered it out.. Respect me for my wisdom tooth ok?

It might not be the case for your fish but Im trying to help u son :). I also had a fish that picked up a big gravel and it could not go back out his mouth and I had to push that siht out of his gill with a stick. Sometimes they need U. But your fish looks fine though.

Here is a scenario of the bacterial disease ducklips, not sayin it is, but if it progresses like this, just to be prepared

next is death
very common disease in summer when temps get warm, the bacteria thrive and reproduce exponentially with temps above 82'F
