So the backstory is I picked up this pair from a LFS. They got them in as trade from someone who was a loyal customer of a store that recently closed the doors. The shop in question was a primarily cichlid specialty shop that would on occasion ship in oddball stuff like WC central americans. The reason I was drawn to them is because they exhibit strong midas features. I was just curious as to what everybody else thinks.

No, not really. $60 for the pair. The store owner was glad to get rid of them I think. The male had to be kept alone because he kept killing all his tank mates and the female had only a a couple of large plecos living with her for similar reasons. I was told they have spawned before but afterwards the male nearly killed her so from there on the shop owner kept them separated.

So far so good with them being together, but they are definitely very rambunctious.

I hope so. My plan is to remove the frontosa this week and unleash an army of convicts to keep them busy. They are currently in a 6' 125 so I think there will be enough room to pull this of. My other thought was a group of neetropolus if I could find some.

Thats horse poop! I will get lucky if my lfs has a con pair.
Sweet pick up!!!
