Had him around three weeks at this point (bought him 20.08.17)
Nice was he already orange when you picked him up?
I have several from Rapps that are like 1.5-2” and they appear to be taking a golden shine- they are labiatus not midas but all the same looking forward to the color change

Crazyphishman - yeah I bought him like this, I mean he’s brightened up since having him but that’s because he’s settled. Your welcome to post a picture of yours on here and see if anyone can advise you about colouring up.

I’ve read all of of RD’s post about the color change process and the linked articles... so I know it’s not an exact science. Just crowd sourcing when the chance comes along. It’s also why I have several grow out tanks with diff species- prevents me from being impatient about one fish.
