I recently bought a midas cichlid 3 days ago, and i have been trying to feed him all kinds of food...

he's very healthy and very active. I dont think there's anything wrong withim it's just he won't eat what i give him...

Green Hikkari pellets: Nope spits em out

Red Hikkari pellets: eats some but not all

Freeze Dried Blood Worm: Spits em out

Spectrum Thera A: eats a couple tries em and spits em out
*lg fish formula

High Protein pellets: Also takes a bite of them tries a couple and ignores the rest

Feeder fish: He loves them but also he likes to play around with them (kill 'em and not eat 'em)

I notice that whenever i leave food at night for him by morning they're all gone. i think he has been eating them when he gets hungry. What can i say i picked out a very picky and classy fish. please help though.

What can i do to make him eat those food listed above?

Give him a couple days of big bowls of nothing. Let him get hungry. He'll eat eventually, and it will be what you want him to eat. When you do feed him, maybe try watching him from across the room. He may just not want to eat with you standing there.

Yeah, it takes a while for new fish to get used to their new environment. Give him a couple of days and he'll be begging you for food.

It won't harm him right? Not feeding him for 3-5 days? I hope it works Feeder fishes are expensive nowadays lol and not so healthy.

fish can go for more than 3-5 days without eating.

I used to think my GT would never eat. he just needed some time to adjust to the new environment. other tank mates can make some fish shy at feeding time.

If he eats some, but not all, of the red hikari pellets (cichlid gold?), wait a few days (even though its tough to make your fish to wait) and feed him those. they're probably the best staple your midas, anyway.
