I came across this guy/gal today while picking up fish food. He/she was a recent drop off that a customer brought in due to "bullying" from other larger fish. He/she wasn't in the best shape (frayed fins, white stringy poop and a couple damaged scales). However, I saw a great deal of potential. He/she is currently around 8-9". I've put it in my 37G hospital tank for the time being. When compared to Griswold (my huge MiDevil), this guy/gal is definitely more on the Midas side than anything else. I'm looking forward to bringing it back to health and giving it a much-improved home. Fortunately, he/she didn't mind me taking a few pictures with the nice camera. Updates to follow......

No. I plan on keeping him/her solo. Tank size is to be determined.

Very nice. Can't wait to see what this fish looks like in six months.
I don't think you've ever posted a picture of a fish that wasn't impressive.

Thanks, man. He's starting to settle in now and is accepting pellets. Here's an updated picture of him.

Here's a quick video of him settling in. Already displaying the classic male "Amphilophus Wiggle".......lol. His anal fin has improved quite a bit, but still has some damage. I would imagine it will take a few weeks before it's completely healed. Enjoy!
