Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here knows how to tell the sex of a midas? Longer fins or something like that? Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

You can tell be observing the genital papilla (breeding tube). This is called "venting" and is the only reliable method of sexing rd/midas or any monomorphic cichlid species.

definitly would have to say red devils, festaes, texas, and doviis. i have 55 gallon tank with a trimac, blackbelt, festae, 2 flowerhorns. 2 texas, butti, chocolate, green terror, and a banded devil. red devils always take over even tho the butti is 1.5 x the size of the red devil.
