So today I saw no eggs in the cave where my female was and I was very upset. What is odd is that usually when that happens I find my female pinned to the top of the tank because the male is harassing her. But this time it seems the female is still on "guard" duty. The male comes in and out but she won't leave the left 2ft of the tank. I don't see any sign of fry anywhere.

So I am thinking one of two things happened. Is it likely that she has already gotten back into the spawning mood and is ready to try again? She has been doing a lot of flaring with the male. Or is it more likely she has hidden the wrigglers and I just can't see them.

Any opinions?

Ok the wierdest thing just happened. We just had a freaking earthquake and apparently it hit D.C. too. IDk bout the rest of you but we don't get earthquakes hwere so it scared the hell out of me! Anyway it spooked the female so much that she fled the sight. I checked the area and there were no wrigglers anywhere and she was being hounded by the male so I removed him to a separate 29. I am honestly considering either keeping them seperated or using the divider method to geth these fish to spawn for me. Back to square one.
