i told you cant go wrong with rapps even if shipping is a little expensive once your fish arrive you see its really worth it... mines not looking to good right now but hes making a recovery his fins are gone and the little hump he had disapeared...

This is a very common occerance with Amphilophus sp. Midas, RDs ect. Overnight they'll devlope a patch of black and it will often dissapear as quickly as showed up. Occasionally it'll hang around for a while or stay that way. Bottom line is they commonly go through many color changes on their way to adulthood.

My Midas just last week or so developed a black bottom lip... then one side of the black lip disappeared, then a few days later it was back to normal. A few months ago he had some black on the tips of his fins, which looked really cool, but it didn't last long. I'm sure I will see some more of this as will you. Very normal for these guys.
