I removed the female about a week ago and opened the tank just for him. He's thriving with the extra space and seem's to be gaining more mass by the day. I believe this Midas will become quite the bruiser one day.

I also tried something a little different with these pictures and placed a 2 foot fluro over the tank, the colour is a little off but i don't mind the way they came out.

Probably one of the only Hot Pink fish I will ever own. Awesome midas!

Now is that a true midas or a midavil?

He looks like mine (I have a midavil) except mine has shorter anal and dorsal fins which is leading me to believe that if yours is a male then mine must be a female? No?

Thanks all.

What kind of foods are you feeding it?

Hikari cichlid bio gold, fresh prawn's, krill, blood and earthworms as well as the odd yabby. I'm kean to give this Massivore delite a whirl. Who makes it?

I'm not to sure. The place i bought him from led me to believe he was a Midas, yet i'd imagine there's some Red devil in the bloodline somewhere. This is a male, but just because yours doesn't have the elongated fin's it doesn't neccerserily mean yours is female.
