Having some fun with the midas pair. They have laid eggs again and I am hopeful that I will get wrigglers this time. I have speculated that it is actually the male who kept eating the eggs. Usually when they spawn I am not at home for the first 3-4 days to feed them. The male defiantly seems more interested in filling his stomach than guarding the area. Maybe that's why the female keeps biting him. Anyway enjoy.

HA HA LOL ive always wondered what goes thru fish's minds... the protecting their fry stage is very entertaining in almost every species:) nice pair and congrats on the spawn.

Thanks!

Every time the male leaves the territory the female will find and bite him to get him to come back it is very funny. She is a great mom though.

Nice Midas pair.

Thanks,

A few eggs are turning white. I am hoping the rest make it. The algea scrubber technique seems to be keeping the male on his toes. I have been doing it a few times a day.

That's funny! My male dovii does the same thing. I really like the rock work in your tank BTW!
