So my new theory is something invisable to hold dwn my plants.:)
Wat we have here is your tipical standard issue "PLANTED TANK ANTI-MIDAS DEVICE" :D
The plan is to run the roots through the holes then bind on back side then burry the entire acrylic sheet with any luck this should put a damper on "Clyde's" plan to destroy our planted tank loluploadfromtaptalk1359597058067.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359597071414.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359597071414.jpg

My money is on clyde.

+1. He's turning into quite a pain in the ass. He kept moving sand from one corner for his spot, and we kept burying it again. We finally moved everything out of his corner and let him have it, and now he wants another corner for his spot.

But for real, we're both being outsmarted by a fish.....

Midas or any Amphilophus sp. for that matter isn't the best choice for somone that wants a planted tank. They dig, pile sand, rip up plants, move rocks and decorate their tank the way they want it. They are great, intelagent & interactive fish but I'm afraid you are trying to put a square peg in a round hole. My advice would be to give up and give it the tank or find a species that will be plant friendly, it'll be eaiser on both of you in the long run. GL

Update Clyde and I have signed "The peace act of 2013" We negotiated terms and came to an agreement. I take out all my plants and let him do wat he wants and in return i get to ............. Feed him and clean his house weekly lol
Should have read the fine print.
