Midas wearing rouge

I've had this guy for about a month now and he didnt always look like this. Looks like he decided to go all cross-dresser on me. Lipstick, eye shadow, and nail polish all over the caudal and dorsal fins. All of the purple persuasion. Anyone experience this before?

LOL...It looks like one of the Muppets! It's a natural process. Red Devils and Midas will go through several color and pattern changes as they mature. Sometimes when they are much older they will change in appearance.

Oh boy, talk about an ugly stage! No worries though, like Gruff said these fish go through these stages. I'm sure he'll turn into a beautiful swan in the end

Might take a while though, midas's can live up to 15 years or so. Cute picture of him though
