Very much south..
This guy started, 15 days after acquisition, to poo white stringy faeces and stopped eating.

Otherwise acts normal with no outward signs of illness.

I put him on a separate tank, just with a strong powerhead, and dosed the water with Sera's Flagellol ( against Flagelates/Hexamita and HTH )- We have no acess to US Fish medidcine in Europe.

Active ingredients are : 5 Nitro; 1.3 Thiazol; 2 ylazane; ascorbic acid, palmitate, menadlone sodium bisulfite.

In 3 days I am supposed to do an 80% WC.

Anyone has had any experience with this medicine?

Thank You

Never tried that one but I'm not familiar with the active ingredient on this one either. You don't have metronidazole there, Miguel?

That would be my choice for possible flagellates. It's best if you feed the fish with that med than dump the water with any meds. I find it best if they ingest the med so it can hit the internal parasites causing this issue.

I am well aware of that, Paul, thing is, he does not take food.

No garlic juice to lace the foods?
that I have.

As soon as I stop the treatment I will try to lace the food....

Do you know a brand name of metronidazole, whether pharmaceutical or veterinary?

Allright. I guessed that was it...

One pill per 50 litres of water, right?

( or mixed with the food )
