Just picked up this guy for super cheap and had a friend interested in my little guys so I sold them and put this in their old tank. So I'm going to keep him/her either way but does anybody know if he is a Midas, red devil, or hybrid? I'm aware most Red Devils are hybrids but I was just wondering. Also if possible, is it possible to sex him/her? Thanks.

Ps. There is a few shiners that have been in the tank for a long time and seem to thrive in 78 degrees even though they should be in colder water and will probably be eaten.

Its more midas than red devil. Unless you know he lineage its hard to say but I would just call it a midas hybrid. Its beautiful btw. I could never properly sex my midas/ red devil unless I had fry. The males would be double to triple in sex usually just like in any fry batch.

My Midas hybrid is starting to peel as well! His father is a F1 midas and mother is a creamsickle F1 red devil ( Jeff rapps).

Thanks, I figured he looked pretty good for $10, he was too aggressive for the oscars he was with I believe.
