Midevil Sex

Can anyoe tell me if this Midevil is male or female? It's about 6-7". Not in my tank btw but will be picking it up tomorrow if it's male.

I don't know what pictures someone would need, there's a side on pic and one more from the front? I thought someone might know from the body shape and fins.

Male and female midevils are pretty much identical.
You have to wait until the tube becomes exposed a bit.
Just call it a whatever you want until it lays eggs or exposes it's wiener.

If you spend some time using the search feature, or google, you should be able to find some pics that show the difference between a midas males business, and a females.

I'm no expert, but if I had to guess I would say female if its at 6 inches. From my experience all of my males developed slight nuchal growth at 4 inches...and yours is larger

Ehh is correct. The only way to tell is to look closely at the vent. At that size, you should be able to see something. If time continues to go by without it laying any eggs, it's probably safe to assume it's male. IME, warmer aquarium water is synonymous with vent visibility. Either way, it's a nice looking fish.
