So I am in the process of getting rid of all my fish and I decided that I am only going to keep one. The decision is between my 2 favorites, my 6.5 inch Jack Dempsey and my 6 inch Midevil. I did a big water change and my Midevil was alone in the 85 and he was swimming around gills puffed out, fins all spread out. He was showing off his stuff, but to nothing in particular. So I decided to take my JD from his tank and put him in with the Midevil to see if maybe the Midevil was tough enough now to stand up to the JD. (they used to be together until the JD beat him up kinda bad but that was about 3 inches ago for the Midevil). They weren't together more than 3 minutes (I timed it) before they were lip locked. It was set on by the Midevil acting all tough and territorial because it was his tank. My JD is notorious for picking fights with every fish and he gladly accepted the invitaion to fight. (despite the fact that he was just plopped into the tank and hadn't adjusted yet). I figured it would be a close fight since they're about even in length and girth. Can you guess who won???
