Like it says I might be geeting free fliter floss. Where I work we use the stuff to cover air vents and try to keep this gule we use out of the duct work. Well tonight I was talking to one of our mantence men and he said when they get down to the end of the roll they just throw it away if its not enough to cover the vent openings (about 30"x72") so I asked If I could have it and he said yeah. SO all I have to do is wait till they use a roll and that doesn't take long and I gett all the media I need for me penguins. thats going to save me a bunch of cash. And If I need to run carbon I can just put it in my FX5.
Might be getting free machanical media from work. SWEET

YEAH... Now you can clean the filters like you are supposed too!!!

This the stuff I recommend for pre-filters on W/D's too. The stuff is nice because it is bonded so no little particles escape.

The stuff I am getting from work isn't as dense as what I am currently using and I don't know yet how well it will wash out. But the price is right. The only reason I change the filters in such long intervules (2-3 weeks) is I got 2 350Bs and a FX5 on a 125. pelnty of machanical filtration. I did a lil "test" on how long it took the filters to look bad and after one week they just didn't look that dirty at all. and after two they were dirty enough to let go. but at three weeks they are in dire need of replacing. But with gas cost and filter cartrdge cost. I just couldn't afford it. But now that I use the floss not the cartridge I can afford to cange them sooner. but its all good it may take a week or so to start getting to floss from work but once I do I think ill end up having to turn. some down or package it and sell it.
