hey all I have 2 redtail sharks in a 65 with aurilus barbs and giant danios there are a few caves and some large fake plants one is 6 inches the other is 4 inches. they are very mellow and only lunge at the barbs once in awhile. I have always heard they are crazy aggressive mine are very mellow have some 2 inch Odessa barbs in this tank that are totally ignored from the sharks Anyone experience this

At 4 inches they're still youngish. They're not aggressive until they're mature. Give it a year or two, and then they'll murder everything.

My red tail is totally chill after killing the albino rainbow shark but she is in a 450

Soon enough the stronger one will either kill the weaker one or hassle it so much it will end up half the size of the other one with drab colours and shredded fins. I would get rid of one, generally they are only super aggressive to fish with similar body shapes so the other fish should be fine if they can handle the occasional nip.

I had 10 in a heavily planted 75 gal, and I ended up with one.

Now I have a 5 incher in my 220 and it’s a peaceful fish.

Everything is relative and varies with circumstances such as other fish community and tank size
