Anybody have a trick to getting the mold or mildew out of their pythons my 50' hose does 50% water changes on all my tanks once a week a and even though I get as much water as I can out of the hose before storing it I still get mildew growing in it.

Thanks Brian

I fill a 5gal. bucket with water and about one cup of bleach. I separate all the attachments from the python hose and place them in the bucket. Then I Submerge the python in a coil so that all the air pockets are pushed out. I let it sit for a couple of hours. The bleach water kills the mildew,it turns brown and breaks away from the python hose. I thoroughly rise the python inside and out with a garden hose. Then I leave it outside to dry in the sun. I've never had a problem with this method. I just make sure that I rinse it very, very thoroughly.

before I put mine away I set it like I am filling the tank, and I blow scalding hot water through it for a min. Never have mold growing in there.
